Rachel
Meet
Founded by Creative Director Rachel Janes in 2019, after spending a decade in senior event management roles in the corporate sector, following her firm foundations of a first class honours degree in event management. Rachel yearned for the complete free reign to design spectacular events and deliver magical experiences for a clientele with similar aesthetic preferences-those who gravitate to the modern, the atmospheric and the romantic, and to bring her wealth of knowledge and expertise into impeccably stylish weddings and events with heart and soul. Her passions include interior design, family connection and enriching travel experiences-living in Australia for a year was a particular key moment in the development of Rachel’s unique styling offering. Now living in beautiful York with her husband and two girls, Rachel has always believed the sky is the limit, both for Beaties and her clients, and adores curating distinctive, modern wedding designs which embody the personal style of her couples.
Humble Origins
Much of Rachel’s fondest childhood memories surround Sunday lunches at Grandma’s; visiting their horses and roaming around in nature, being tucked up under blankets delving into her lovingly-made butterfly buns and treats. Ever the hostess, the warmth and welcoming memories of Grandma Beatrice, and her ability to make every event and visit feel special, was the inspiration behind both the name and the spirit of ‘Beaties’.
